Islamic Preaching Communication Based on Religious Study Sessions at LPI Mambaul Ulum V

Islamic Education Institutions (LPI) function not only as educational spaces but also as spaces of da'wah communication connecting institutions, families, and communities. This study analyzes da'wah communication in strengthening the management of LPI Mambaul Ulum V as a community-based Islamic education institution, focusing on forms of da'wah communication, family and community involvement, and activity management through the POAC functions. A qualitative case study approach was used. Data were collected through observation and in-depth interviews with three purposively selected informants: the school principal, one teacher, and one parent. Data were analyzed through data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing and verification. The findings show that da'wah communication takes place through Qur'anic learning, moral and ethical guidance, communication between the institution and families, and three-monthly religious gatherings involving the community. Communication supports the planning, role division, implementation, and evaluation of activities. The study indicates that a community-based LPI can be positioned not only as an educational space but also as a space of da'wah communication connecting the institution, families, and the community. The findings are contextual to a single institution and are not intended to be generalized to all Islamic education institutions.
