This study aims to formulate an Artificial Intelligence (AI) based conceptual model of Islamic communication through an Islamic vernacularization approach capable of grounding halal education adaptively and personally in Indonesia. To achieve this objective, the research uses the the descriptive literature review method with a qualitative approach. The article search process was comprehensively conducted on the Google Scholar database within the publication timeframe of 2020 to 2026. Data analysis was performed by applying the qualitative thematic analysis method through the Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña approach. The research findings indicate a radical shift in Islamic da’wah from Computer-Mediated Communication to Human-Machine Communication, where AI plays an active role as an autonomous communication partner building audience digital trust. Through recommendation algorithms, AI successfully performs the vernacularization of Islam by transforming rigid fiqh muamalah laws into popular, visual, and personalized halal education content for Generation Z. However, this integration brings serious socio-technical challenges in the form of AI data hallucination risks and global algorithmic bias unaligned with the Shafi'i school context in Indonesia. Socio-religiously, AI dominance potentially erodes the traditional authority of scholars and desacralizes sanad-based knowledge transmission. Therefore, this study recommends a regulative policy for BPJPH and the Ministry of Religious Affairs to immediately formulate ethical AI development guidelines for Islamic content.
